NEED AN APPOINTMENT FOR AN ACUTE ILLNESS OR A COVID TEST FOR POSSIBLE EXPOSURE?
ALWAYS START WITH YOUR PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER
As kids get back to school and summer is winding down, we continue to experience challenging times. With the recent surge of Covid-19 cases in our community due to the Delta variant and primarily those who are unvaccinated, our Urgent Care locations are increasingly busy with long wait times.
We highly recommend and encourage all MRPG/MRMC patients to call your PCP office BEFORE you go to Urgent Care to see if they can better accommodate your need. We understand that this IS A CHANGE from what we had done initially during the pandemic. However, the good news is our PPE supply has vastly improved, and vaccines have increased, allowing primary care providers a safe environment to see you in their office. In the event that you don’t feel comfortable coming to the office in person, telehealth visits are also still an option.
If your primary care provider is unable to accommodate same day appointments, he/she may be able to see you the following day. Again, your PCP is the best person to help guide you and determine the acuity of your problem.
We want to do our best to take care of you in the safest way possible. Thank you for your patience during this time.
