Masking Update

Dear Patient,

As you have most likely heard, the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency has ended. Coinciding with this change and based on guidance issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Milford Regional Physician Group has implemented changes across all of our outpatient sites, effective, May 12.

Masking
Masks have been an important tool to keep each other safe during the pandemic. At this point in time, however, universal masking is no longer needed. This decision is informed by many factors, including widespread immunity, availability of vaccines and effective treatments.

HOWEVER, healthcare settings will still require patients to wear a mask if they:

  • Have a fever or flu-like symptoms
  • Have a known COVID-19 infection
  • Have a known exposure to COVID-19 within the last 10 days

Symptom Screening
At this time, we will no longer actively screen patients for COVID-19 symptoms, but we do ask that patients notify their provider’s office staff during appointment confirmation or upon arrival if you have any symptoms.

We realize that the lifting of the mask mandate will be met with a mix of relief and concern, but appreciate your cooperation and patience when visiting our offices. Our priority is to always provide you with the highest quality of care, while doing our very best to keep each other safe.

Thank you.
