OBSTETRICIAN/GYNECOLOGIST KAREN JENG, MD, MBA, FACOG, JOINS CARING FOR WOMEN

Karen Jeng, MD, MBA, FACOG, has joined Milford Regional Physician Group (MRPG). Dr. Jeng is seeing patients at Caring for Women, 100 Medway Road, Suite 401, Milford, joining Dr. Xiaojing Tao and Nurse Practitioners Maria Bastos and Cindy Popovic.

Dr. Jeng returns to Caring for Women after spending 13 years at UMass Memorial Medical Group. “I look forward to getting back to community-based medicine and am delighted to join this outstanding group of compassionate clinicians as part of Milford Regional Physician Group.”

Dr. Jeng earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and MBA from University of Texas. Her postdoctoral training brought her to University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where she completed her internship and residency. Most recently, Dr. Jeng earned her Master’s Degree in Legal Studies from Washington University, St. Louis, MO.

Currently an Assistant Professor in OB/GYN at UMass in Worcester, Dr. Jeng has held a number of academic appointments and leadership positions over the years, including OB/GYN Medical Student Clerkship Director at MRMC, where she was also the Department Chair of OB/GYN from 2014-2017.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Jeng has received numerous honors and achievements over the years, including Outstanding Clinical Educator Award, Golden Apple Teaching Award and Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN. Dr. Jeng currently resides in Medway.

Established in 1992, MRPG is one of the largest physician practice groups in the MetroWest and Blackstone Valley Region. MRPG, along with Milford Regional Medical Center, forms the Milford Regional Healthcare System, and consists of 43 primary care and specialty practices, including over 130 physicians, 82 advanced practitioners and 630 total staff.
